WINTER IN LEOGANG
From December 2014, Leogang has a second gondola lift, the Steinbergbahn, up to the Asitsgipfel.
Sun and snow are the most important ingredients for a successful winter holiday.
If you wish to walk, downhill skiing, langlauf or snowboarding, in the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang, with over 70 modern lifts and more than 200 marked and well prepared pasts, ranging from red, blue till black and tiefschnee slopes, everyone from amateur to professional will be properly served.
Winter pedestrian roads are made accessible, walking in the valley or with the cable cars to the mountain top.
There is a great variety of cosy alm restaurants on the slopes as well as après-ski bars.
The modern cable car of the Asitz and Steinbergbahn brings you in about 10 minutes from the valley via the middle station to the top of the Asitz from where you can ski to Saalbach and Hinterglemm and Fieberbrunn.
Three other large ski areas are on 20-40 kilometres distance in the immediate vicinity.

Haben etwas mehr Zeit für die Autofahrt? Dann kommen Sie nach Bad Gastein, Bad Reichenhall, besuchen Sie den Grossglockner, die Krimmeler Wasserfälle, der Königsee oder die Eisriesenwelt.
Für Biker gibt es an der Asitzbergbahn (nur 3,5 km entfernt vom Haus) den grössten Bikepark Europas, mit verschiedenen Parcours : Bikecross, Dual-Slalom, Downhilltracks, Freeride-Trails. www.bikeparkleogang.at

Auch Wanderer können im Tal oder am Berg Stunden lang spazieren. In den Bergen sind viele Almhütten geöffnet. Wanderkarten sind beim Tourismusverband erhältlich.
Im Lofer (ca. 30 km entfernt) gibt es ein Basecamp, wo man raften und Kanu fahren kann. Für Golfer ist die Gegend ein Paradies. Mehr als 30 Golfplätze, 9 und 18 Löcher, befinden sich im Umkreis von 20-60 Minuten.
Brandlhof, eingebettet in der Landschaft des Saalachtals und Urslautal mit ein faszinierendes Berg- panorama sind in ungefähr 20 minuten erreichbar. Für Anfänger gibt es den Schnupperkurs von einer Stunde. Für Könner gibt es weitere Arrangements. www.golfakademie-urslautal.com.
Im Tirol und Salzburgerland, sogar über die Grenze von Deutschland stehen Ihnen mehr als 30 Golfplätze zur Verfügung: Zell am See(27 km), Mittersill( 48 km), Goldegg( 55 km), Radstadt(75), Bad Gastein, Reith im Winkl, Kössen, Kitzbühel(40 km),uvm.

Golf players will enjoy the over 30 golf courses in the near vicinities', in Austria and even on the border with Germany. Brandlhof and Urslautal are only on 15 minutes car drive. The twin golf courses in Zell am See, on 27 km distance, has two times 18 holes, Erpfendorf is on 30 km, Kitzbühel with 4 courses on 40 km, Mittersill 48 km,Goldegg 55 km, Bad Gastein, Radtstadt, Kössen, Lärchenhof, Reith im Winkl, Salzburg, Berchtesgaden all within 60 minutes from Leogang.

Biking
In the mountain bike mecca of Austria
The largest mountain bike park in Europe is at the slopes of the Asitzbahn, 3.5 km from Leogang, with a variety of tracks for different levels of bikers. In 2011 the World Championships in several categories were held at these tracks. www.bikeparkleogang.at and www.tauernradweg.at
An excellently maintained and well documented and marked network of biking roads surrounds the area, both in the valleys as over the mountains. Maps are available at the de Tourist information.
hiking
Various cave, gorges, climbing parks, summer toboggan run.
for pedestrians, the region offers an overwhelming network of roads, paths, tracks and hiking routes, steep, flat, and grading from easy to very difficult. You can use the cable cars to start your walk from the top of the mountain. Hiking maps are also available at the Tourist office.
With the Saalfelden-Leogang card you can go for free with the cable car every day.
In Lofer ( 30 km from Leogang) is a centre for rafting, canoën and other water sports.
